Cycle Canada, The Veloforce Corporation is a Canadian company that has been conducting cycling tours throughout Canada since 1988.
We are be looking for a mature independant person to provide support for our short term cycling events in 2010.
Tour Support (1 position) 4 weeks

These positions are open to Canadian citizens or residients with valid work visas. All positions are very challenging and require excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of maturity. There is lifting and other physical effort involved. A clean driving record is imperative for all successful applicants. Candidates must be insurable for driving. Knowledge of French and bike mechanics is helpful.

Bicycle Tour Support
Job Description: Supporting bicycle tours in Ontario and Quebec
Employee will support three one week bicycle tours in Ontario and Quebec. Employee will drive the route providing support to cyclists on tour and transport baggage to each night-time stop during a predetermined riding schedule. At the end of the tour the employee will return to the start point with bicycles and luggage, and then return vehicle to Toronto or Alliston and assist with general clean-up. Additional duties include purchasing provisions, checking in and out of accommodation, may be required to provide one meal, maintaining a detailed accounting ledger, reporting to head office.
Required skills and experience: Class G (or equivalent for other provinces) driver's licence; strong interpersonal skills. Applicants should have or should obtain experience in driving a cube van or similar large vehicle. Courses in health and safety such as CPR are an asset. Bike mechanic experience an asset. The position does not involve riding a bicycle.
Employment Period: Commencing July 9, 2010 to August 15, 2010. There may be some opportunities for a additional work. Employee may also assist at May weekend cycling event. Indoor accommodation is provided and daily food allowance while tours underway.
